Windows 11 brought a new look and advanced AI capabilities to Microsoft's operating system. But now tech enthusiasts are already wondering, what does the future hold for Windows 12? While Microsoft has shared limited official details, insider reports and predictions are starting to unveil what we may see. So here we go with the first one, embracing the AI revolution. Industry experts predict Windows 12 will fully embrace the AI revolution. Features like CoPilot, which offers AI generated suggestions to developers, could expand into assisting everyday users. Voice control with enhanced natural language capabilities may allow hands free computing. AI could also enable next level personalization by learning and adapting to each user's style. Next up, the end of passwords. Many hope Windows 12 will phase out passwords entirely. Biometric authentication like facial recognition and fingerprints May become the norm. Some reports even speculate about brainwave or DNA based identity verification emerging. The goal is seamless, universal, and ultra secure access. 3. Optimization for hybrid work. Windows 12 may bring major upgrades for hybrid work environments. Offerings like Teams, Outlook, and Office could see collaboration focused improvements. Virtual desktops, connectivity across devices, and cloud sync may help bridge the physical and digital workspaces. Another one here, cloud first functionality. With cloud adoption growing, Windows 12 is expected to prioritize cloud first functionality. This ability could further integrate Microsoft 365 subscriptions. For everything from storage to office apps. More applications may also run directly on the cloud. This cloud focused shift aims to improve flexibility. And last but not least, gaming renaissance. Gaming may be reimagined in Windows 12, starting with full integration with the metaverse. VR and AR capabilities woven into the OS could transport gamers into immersive digital worlds. Upgrades to DirectX and GPU optimization may enable cinematic graphics and smooth performance. The Xbox ecosystem could also be unified with Windows experiences. While Microsoft naturally keeps its plans under wraps, insider chatter indicates Windows 12 could make significant leaps. With hybrid work and AI accelerating quickly, Windows must evolve to stay at the forefront of innovation. As more rumors surface, we'll get a clearer picture of the transformation coming beyond Windows 11. Wearable tech is a fast growing and exciting field that encompasses everything from smart watches and fitness trackers to smart rings and pet collars. But what are the major features, functions, and trends that will set 2024's tech wearables apart from previous years? To find out, we're going to take a look at a recent article I read by Dan Bracaglia, a senior writer for Tom's Guide, who covers fitness and consumer technology with an emphasis on wearables. According to Dan's article, there are five trends that will define wearables in 2024 and beyond. They are, here we go, you ready? AI everywhere, including on your wrist. Dan predicts that artificial intelligence will be integrated into more and more wearable devices, allowing users to accomplish a wide range of tasks via voice such as gaming, shopping, and chatting. He also expects that AI will help improve fitness tracking accuracy, health screening, and personalized recommendations. Number two, a greater focus on non wrist based wearables. The article points out that smart rings are becoming more popular, especially for those who want a more discreet and stylish way to monitor their fitness, sleep and health. The article mentions some of the upcoming smart ring releases such as Aura Ring 4, the Samsung Galaxy Ring, and the Movano EV Ring. Number three, improve monitoring for serious health conditions. Dan notes that smart watches are not only tracking basic metrics like heart rate and sleep quality, but also scanning for signs of more serious health issues such as hypertension. Sleep apnea and atrial fibrillation. He cites some of the rumored features of the next generation Apple watch 10 and Samsung galaxy watch seven, which may include on wrist blood pressure monitoring and sleep apnea alerts. Number four, a wider selection of health wearables for pets. The article mentions that pet owners are increasingly interested in keeping tabs on their furry friends, wellness, activity, and diet. The article highlights some of the exciting and upcoming pet health tracking wearables, such as Fit Bark, Fit Pet. And possibly even a Fitbit Woof or an Apple iDog Collar. And number five, a continuing cascade of illegal disputes. The article warns that 2024 will also be a year of legal battles over intellectual property, patent theft, copyright infringement, and more. He mentions some of the ongoing and potential lawsuits involving big tech companies like Apple, Samsung, Google, and OpenAI. As a side note, Apple has recently had an issue with their Watch 9 over technology that somebody claimed was theirs, and there's more about that online. So what do you think about these trends? Do you agree with the article's predictions from Dan? Which wearable devices are you most excited about or curious about?
